About

This is a digest of communications policy and technology news that usually focuses on its legal implications. I started this blog to force myself to keep up to date in these areas and so others can comb through information I think is important or interesting.

The rest of the subjects are where I share gems I encounter about music, literature,  or whatever.  I don't update the other categories nearly enough.  You can see more cultural things I enjoy at my tumblr:  things what I like.

About me:
I am a law student attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.  I graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) where I studied journalism and developed an intense interest in communications law and media advocacy.  I'm also a staunch supporter of civil rights, the open source movement, creative commons, transparent government, and net neutrality.

About the site:

I built this site using pretty much all open source software like Ubuntu Studio and GIMP, and it runs on Wordpress.  I used open source frameworks and libraries to write the javascript and CSS: Blueprint and jQuery.
